Abstract

The research found that the process of ensuring global, regional and na tional food security for each individual country is shaped by two key directions in economic policy. On one hand, it’s the need to liberalize world trade and, on the other – the implementation of a paternalistic policy aimed at supporting national producers and pe ople’s purchasing power, promoting the products of some countries in the markets of others. In addition, factors determining the vulnerability of the domestic food market in countries have been identified: dependence on imports (not just of products but also of ingredients), the structure of food consumption, the degree of urbanization of territories, the high impact of global prices on domestic consumer and producer prices, the dependence of trade and distribution networks on world market prices, the dynamics of the real exchange rate, the extent of government support for national producers to smooth out economic difficulties and the effectiveness of measures to optimize internal social policy. The quantitative and qualitative composition of both the system of principles and the target criteria for balancing the agrifood market has been identified and interpre ted. The main criteria for maintaining and ensuring market and agroindustrial production balance have also been identified and defined.

Abstract

Oilseeds occupy a significant place in the global food market. In recent years, driven by economic, climatic, and technological factors, significant changes have occurred, leading to growth in all areas of consumption and increased price volatility.

Identifying and assessing global trends will enable the development of approaches to optimizing production structures, minimizing risks in the export and import of protein raw materials, and increasing the competitiveness of the Belarusian agroindustrial complex.

Abstract

The influence of the condition of rural roads on the economic indicators of the agricultural sector of the Republic of Belarus is examined. Based on an analysis of the State Program “Roads of Belarus” for 2021–2025 and its extension for 2026–2030, the thesis is substantiated that the quality of rural roads is a significant factor in the cost of agricultural products, the delivery time to processing enterprises, as well as the sociodemographic sustainability of rural areas.

A regional analysis of the program’s implementation was carried out, which revealed significant differentiation among the regions. A quantitative assessment of the economic effect from converting gravel roads to improved types of pavement is presented. Recommendations are formulated for incorporating road investments into regional strategies for the development of the agricultural sector.
