The article presents the results of studies of existing approaches to determining the essence of the category of “state support” (including agribusiness). a mechanism is proposed for implementing the policy of providing state support measures for agricultural producers, its components are described. The principles of state support are systematized into basic and new, in turn, the basic ones were updated taking into account the changing working conditions of the agricultural industry.
