Abstract

The research found that a country’s food well-being is determined by two main criteria – the level of food security and the level of food independence. Comparing both criteria can indicate the level of a country’s self-sufficiency. In this regard, we suggested using the concept of food sovereignty. It is concluded that the development of the agri-food complex is guided by state strategy and policy, on the basis of which the target criteria and indicators of the entire economic system in the agroindustrial complex are determined (that is, both the results of functioning and the initial factors of organization), the final result of which should be considered food sovereignty.
Based on the analysis of risks and threats to food security, appropriate tasks for optimizing food supply have been formulated. Five main theoretical approaches to assessing food sovereignty are presented. Food situation indicators are systematized and categorized into four main groups. Key measures for strengthening food sovereignty are formulated.

Abstract

Criteria for a “green” taxonomy system in Belarusian agriculture are proposed. Agroecological, ecological-climatic, economic-methodological, and managerial justifications for the application of the proposed criteria are provided, including in the context of compliance with international practice and the development of an effective national taxonomy system.

Abstract

The main principles of forming innovative infrastructure are considered, and current problems of innovative development of agroindustrial enterprises and organizations of agroindustrial complex are identified. A block diagram of the sequence of interrelated operations for transforming raw materials into finished products and creating added value elements has been developed. The specific features of the formation and functioning of infrastructure in innovative forms are substantiated.

Abstract

The dynamics of world corn production for the period 1975–2024 are examined. Changes in yield and planted area in the adjacent region are analyzed, which determine the nature and rationale for the types of industry development depending on geographic location. The dominance of the United States in production and export supplies to global markets is established, while corn cultivation is shifting toward the Asian region.

Abstract

This paper presents a continuation of the research into the comprehensive functional liquidity of agricultural land plots. It examines volumetric and temporal factors, providing their quantitative characteristics. Furthermore, these elements are aligned with technical and operational factors to calculate the liquidity ratio, serving as a trigger criterion for implementing management decisions.

Abstract

This article examines current challenges and potential development trends for the grain market based on the dynamics of grain production, export, and import from 2000 to 2025. It demonstrates that the growth in gross harvest and export potential was accompanied by increased territorial concentration of production, the continued dominant role of wheat, a limited share of deep processing, and the industry’s high dependence on logistics infrastructure. The system of factors determining the competitiveness of grain products is refined, including production and technological, quality and certification, infrastructure and logistics, financial and economic, market and marketing, institutional, innovation, and environmental components. The need for a program-based, targeted approach to grain market development is substantiated.
