Abstract

The development of the agricultural sector of the Republic of Belarus involves the improvement of mechanisms for structural transformations aimed at creating favorable conditions for the effective functioning of agricultural organizations and their sustainable development, including the regulation of property relations, existing instruments for the financial recovery of such business entities, and economic security. Of great importance is the assessment of the financial condition of organizations, the effectiveness of structural transformations as a basis for preparing measures to increase the sustainability of their activities, and develop measures to reduce fiscal risks. A comprehensive analysis of the financial condition of agricultural organizations was carried out, including in the context of organizational and legal forms and the recovery mechanism, weaknesses and strengths of these organizations were identified, and areas for improving indicators were reflected.

Abstract

The article presents the author’s methodology for assessing the level of energy efficiency in food production using a composite index. The proposed mechanism is based on a systematized analysis of existing approaches. This made it possible to identify the main domains of energy efficiency formation, determine key criteria for them and coherent assessment indicators. Methods for detailing and presenting the assessment results are established, including integral and graphical forms that provide comprehensive visualization and quantitative assessment, which enhances the diagnostics and management of fuel and energy resources. The developed methodological approach enables a comprehensive assess of the energy efficiency of food production, helps to identify reserves for increasing and optimizing energy consumption in the agro-food sector of the economy.

Abstract

The economic essence of the concept of “working capital” in agriculture has been clarified, its classification according to various criteria has been systematized. The principles, functions and levels of working capital management have been substantiated, and the corresponding conceptual approaches have been proposed. A multi-vector analysis of industry trends in agriculture of the Republic of Belarus has been conducted. The following have been developed: a methodology and criteria for a detailed, stepby- step economic analysis and diagnostics of the formation and use of working capital in agriculture; an organizational and economic mechanism for increasing the efficiency of its use; a multi-factor model for accelerating turnover; as well as a rating and scoring system for assessing debtors. The proposed tools are aimed at increasing the efficiency of working capital management and increasing the profitability of agricultural organizations.

Abstract

The article analyzes the trends of the global sugar market. The most significant strategic advantages and determinants of its growth are formulated. Particular attention is paid to key manufacturers, forecast estimates of the development of the global sugar and sugar products market are given. It has been established that these markets are undergoing active changes caused not only by economic factors and environmental standards, but also by evolving consumer preferences and technological progress in the food industry, which, in turn, requires adaptability from manufacturing companies, a desire for innovation and the ability to create products that meet the principles of a healthy lifestyle and conscious choice of buyers.

Abstract

The Chinese experience in e-commerce development in rural areas is analyzed. The advantages of developing regional e-trade are highlighted in terms of the main e-commerce models: traditional e-commerce marketplaces, social networks, a live streaming model, and digital business models based on agricultural cooperation. The key challenges and risks faced by online-businesses in rural areas have been identified. The tools and mechanisms of supporting and promoting the involvement of rural entrepreneurs in e-commerce are investigated. The directions of e-businesses development in countryside have been identified.

The main directions of stimulating innovative activities of agricultural enterprises are considered, methods of attracting resources for the implementation of innovative activities are outlined, and current approaches to financing innovative activities of processing enterprises are studied using the example of the Russian Federation.
