The concept of the development of digital twins in agricultural production: aspects of theory and practice

Abstract

   The article presents the author’s concept of development and systemic application of digital twins technology to improve production efficiency in the value chain of agroindustrial complex. The analysis of the practice of using digital twins in agriculture has been carried out. The main advantages, disadvantages, principles, as well as the infrastructure for their construction are highlighted. The economic effects and the relevance of the use of digital twins for modeling production and economic processes at the level of an enterprise, district, industry with opening onto the formation of the digital twins platform for agricultural production are substantiated.
