Transport infrastructure as a factor of increasing the efficiency of the agroindustrial complex and sustainable development of rural areas in Belarus

Abstract
The influence of the condition of rural roads on the economic indicators of the agricultural sector of the Republic of Belarus is examined. Based on an analysis of the State Program “Roads of Belarus” for 2021–2025 and its extension for 2026–2030, the thesis is substantiated that the quality of rural roads is a significant factor in the cost of agricultural products, the delivery time to processing enterprises, as well as the sociodemographic sustainability of rural areas.
A regional analysis of the program’s implementation was carried out, which revealed significant differentiation among the regions. A quantitative assessment of the economic effect from converting gravel roads to improved types of pavement is presented. Recommendations are formulated for incorporating road investments into regional strategies for the development of the agricultural sector.
