On the issue of the ratio of investment volumes in fixed capital of agriculture and agricultural production

Abstract
This article examines the application of the “share of investment in GDP” indicator in the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus. The dynamics of a number of interrelated indicators are analysed. It concludes that the “share of investment in agricultural fixed capital in the value of agricultural output” indicator can be used effectively. It also highlights the need for the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus to methodologically clarify the calculation and application procedures for the “share of investment in GDP” indicator to ensure its clear use as an assessment of investment volumes for the development of informed management decisions on adjusting investment policy at the macro and micro levels.
