Opportunities for supplying agri-food products to Singapore

Abstract
The article presents the results of a study examining the potential for supplying agricultural and food products (particularly dairy) to Singapore’s domestic market. It establishes that Singapore’s food industry relies on food imports, and growing incomes and tourism make the country’s market attractive and competitive. Potential distribution channels for imported food are analyzed, and development trends are identified. Both the advantages and risks of supply chains are considered.
Particular attention is paid to the analysis of foreign trade and the import of milk and dairy products into Singapore. Furthermore, the article discusses the legal aspects of food supply to the country.
