Market of lactose-free dairy products: state of competition, potential and development prospects in the Republic of Belarus

Abstract
The paper presents the results of the study of trends and development potential of the Belarusian market of lactosefree dairy products in terms of assessing the price advantages of dairy products in relation to other food products with high calcium content, analysing the range of lactosefree dairy products and comparing the cost of this category of products produced in Belarus against imported ones. The key provisions of the comparative assessment of methods of lactose content reduction in dairy raw materials are presented. The parameters and prospective directions of market development are substantiated.
