Author Guidelines

The journal “Agrarian Economics” publishes articles covering issues of agricultural production economics, as well as papers informing about the latest technologies and developments of national and foreign scientists in various branches of agriculture, materials on the state policy of the Republic of Belarus in this area. The editorial office of the journal asks all authors to follow the instructions below.

1. Articles submitted for publication must be original and must not have been submitted to any other publication. Papers are submitted in printed form, with a clear image and as separate files on electronic media carriers. The length of an article includes its text, tables, figures, photographs and references. Manuscripts must be presented in the Russian or Belarusian languages.

The title of an article must be followed by the full name(s) and family name(s) of each author in the English transliteration and the title of an article translated into English.

The electronic papers must be sent in Microsoft Word Text Editor form (DOC form), using Times New Roman font (font – 14 pt, line spacing – 2, page markup indents – 0 (before and after), page layout spacing – by default (before and after). Pages are numbered from the first inclusive.

The functions "Link", "Hyperlink", "Footnote", "AutoFormat", "Macros", etc. can not be used.

If necessary, footnotes can be added manually and placed at the end of the article text, before the reference list.

Tables are the part of the article and are inserted and edited by means of the Table Tools in Microsoft Word. The width of the tables is set 100%. When switching to a new page, it is allowed to use the function "Split Table".

Equations or formulas are the part of the article. They are added using the built-in Microsoft Equations Tools with the Times New Roman font. Latin characters are typed in italics.

Photographs, pictures and other raster images which do not contain text, are not included in the text of the article, and are submitted as separate TIFF or JPEG files with the minimal resolution of 300 dpi.

Illustrative materials containing text (diagrams, graphs, charts) can not be included in the text of the article, but must be made using Microsoft Word (the “Drawing” toolbar function) or Microsoft Excel and submitted as separate files in the format used for their creation (DOC or XLS).

The text added to illustrations are typed in Times New Roman.

The files with illustrations are numbered according to the order of their location in the article.

Captions to the illustrations are the part of the text of the article. Their position corresponds to the location of the illustrative materials (pictures).

2. The dimension of all quantities used in the article must correspond to the specified measurement system in accordance with the International System of Units (SI).

3. References must be presented as a general list on a separate page. Citations must be numbered consecutively in the order they are first used in the text. Each citation is marked by a sequence number enclosed in square brackets. References must be presented in accordance with the state standards GOST 7.1-2003 and 7.82–2001. Citation of unpublished publications is not allowed.

4. The Journal “Agrarian Economics” is included in the List of Scientific Editions for Publication of the Results of Dissertation Research in economic sciences (the Order of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Belarus dated October 5, 2005 No. 143). Manuscripts submitted as research papers must have a conclusion of an expert council about the possibility of publishing the manuscripts, a summary in Russian and English, and an index according to the Universal Decimal Classification (UDC). Papers presenting the results of work carried out in a scientific institution must provide proof of the directorate's permission for publication. The provision of reviews is optional for papers submitted by author groups numbering academicians and corresponding members among their representatives.

5. The text of a scientific paper must meet the requirements of Chapter 5 of the "Instruction for the preparation of a dissertation, an author's abstract and publications on the topic of a dissertation" (approved by the resolution of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Belarus dated February 2, 2006 No. 2, published in the National Register of Legal Acts of the Republic of Belarus, March 20, 2006 No. 41, 7/603) taking into account amendments introduced in the Instruction by the Order the Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Belarus dated August 15, 2007 No. 4 (published in the National Register of Legal Acts of the Republic of Belarus, September 7, 2006 No. 213, 7/743).

6. The manuscript must be signed by all authors. On a separate page of the paper it is necessary to indicate information concerning author(s), full affiliation of each author including positions held, academic degrees and titles, passport data, office and home phone numbers (with city code), e-mail addresses.

7. Manuscripts which do not meet the above requirements will not be accepted for consideration or taken up for consideration on a later date.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The manuscripts are accepted if has not been published or submitted for publication elsewhere.
  2. The materials should be prepared in a format OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or World Perfect.
  3. Internet links are provided as a complete URL. 

  4. Text should be typed with an interval of one and a half line spacing, font Times New Roman, 14 pt; to highlight the accents it is recommended to use italics rather than underlining (except Internet links). All images, graphics and tables are placed within the text according to the meaning of the particular part of text  (and not at the end of the document).
  5. Text should follow the stylistic and bibliography requirements as stated in  Regulations  located in the Part "About Us." 

  6. Please, remove the authors' names from the title of the article and other parts of the document to ensure the  anonymity of reviewing.

Authors who publish with this journal agree to the following terms:

  1. Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal.
  2. Authors are able to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version of the work (e.g., post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book), with an acknowledgement of its initial publication in this journal.

Privacy Statement

Specified when registering the names and addresses will be used solely for technical purposes of a contact with the Author or reviewers (editors) when preparing the article for publication. Private data will not be shared with other individuals and organizations.
