Strengthening the export potential of the grain market of Kazakhstan

Abstract

The article discusses the production of grain in Kazakhstan is highlighted, which allows not only to satisfy domestic grain needs, but also to provide high export potential. The country is a major global exporter of grain and is one of the ten countries in the world in wheat export; over the past few years it has held leading positions in the export of flour in high quality indicators. The directions of grain sales to the countries of Central Asia (Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan), Transcaucasia (Azerbaijan, Georgia), Iran, Afghanistan and Turkey, with which Kazakhstan has strong ties in the trade in grain and its processed products and provides export supplies, are examined. One of the promising new directions for exporting domestic wheat is China. The creation of an efficient transport and logistics infrastructure in key export areas, the development of measures for transit countries in the application of tariff policies, and the increase in the level of state support for exports are among the priority tasks to solve this problem.
